Napa Valley Guidebook
For under three months at the end of 2013, I first had the pleasure of helping layout the Napa Valley Guidebook, an annual magazine used by people all over the world as a reference when visiting us out here in wine country. I took over the gig from a long-tenured freelancer, and needed to learn the layout and content quickly in order to be of use under the tight year-end deadline. Working with Robin Lewis at Balzac Design, I produced dozens of pages, pored over hundreds of grid listings, and was tortured constantly by the beautiful photography and charming winery descriptions. I created graphic elements and updated maps as needed. I look forward to working with Robin (and the very kind folks at Vintage Publications) again next year.
